What to expect at our services
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
When you arrive, park in our parking lot and come on in. You’ll be welcomed by our hospitality team, receive a service bulletin, and are free to sit wherever feels right to you.
AT THE SERVICE
AFTER THE SERVICE
After the service, join us in the Parish Hall for refreshments and conversation. It’s a wonderful way to meet others in our church family and get answers to any of your questions about Mt. Olive.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
Wear whatever feels comfortable to you. Mt. Olive has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and people come in all kinds of attire—from jeans and t-shirts to casual dresses or slacks. There’s no dress code here—just come as you are.
What can my children do during worship services?
Families are invited to begin worship together in the Sanctuary. After the Children’s Sermon, kids are welcome to join our Sunday School leaders for Bible-based lessons and activities in our preschool classrooms. They’ll return to the Sanctuary before communion to bring the bread forward and rejoin the congregation for the rest of the service. Parents are welcome to accompany their children at any point.
Is the church accessible?
Yes, Mt. Olive is fully accessible. Our campus, including the Sanctuary, Parish Hall, and classrooms, is wheelchair accessible. We also have accessible restrooms to ensure all are comfortable and welcome.
Do I need to be Lutheran to attend?
Not at all. You don’t need to be Lutheran—or even have a church background—to attend Mt. Olive. We welcome people of all faiths, those exploring faith for the first time, and anyone looking for a supportive and inclusive community. Everyone is welcome here.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No, you won’t be singled out or put on the spot. You’ll be welcomed, but not pressured. We want you to feel comfortable and at ease during your visit. You’re free to participate as much or as little as you like, and we’re just glad you’re here.
Can I take communion?
How can I learn more or get involved?
We’d love to help you get connected. A great first step is to make an appointment with the Pastor to learn more about Mt. Olive and what we offer. You’re also welcome to join us for worship, stay for coffee hour, and explore any of our events, classes, or service opportunities. There’s no pressure—just an open invitation.
