Mt. Olive Lutheran Church
sits on a welcoming campus in the heart of Santa Monica offering indoor and outdoor spaces for worship, community use, and events. An ideal place to gather, reflect, and connect.

Our Space is Your Space

Mt. Olive Lutheran Church offers several spaces that support a variety of events and gatherings. Available areas include the Sanctuary, ideal for weddings or concerts; the Parish Hall, a versatile space for receptions, meetings, or community programs; Classroom 1, suited for smaller group sessions or workshops; our fully equipped kitchen; and the parking lot, which can be used for parking or outdoor events.

the sanctuary

Half pews, half open space—our Sanctuary is flexible and inviting. Great acoustics make it a favorite for weddings, concerts, and special events.

Room Dimensions: 108 ft. x 85 ft./ 9180 square feet. (33m x 16m / 540 sq. meters)

Capacity: 748 people

A spacious room with a built-in stage and large movie screen—perfect for parties, performances, movie nights, and community events.

Room Dimensions: 82 ft. x 32 ft. / 2624 square feet. (25m x 10m / 265 sq. meters)

Ideal for small groups, meetings, or workshops, this comfortable room offers a quiet setting with flexible setup options.

We have a fully equipped kitchen available – great for prepping meals for your event.

The church has two pianos available – one in the Sanctuary and one in the Parish Hall – perfect for concerts, rehearsals, and musical events.

our parking lot

Our large parking lot sits on the south west corner of Maple and 14th streets. Parking is included when you use one of the above spaces at Mt. Olive. But the parking lot alone can be booked for outdoor events as well as parking needs for production companies, caterers and construction companies needing this type of arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there tables and chairs?
Yes, each rental includes access to tables and chairs. Let us know your setup needs in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
What is included in the Sanctuary, Room 1, or Parish Hall rental?
Each space rental includes access to restrooms and free parking when available.
Is AV equipment available?
Yes. A screen and projector are available for rent. Please request in advance to ensure availability.
Is set-up and clean-up included?
Renters are responsible for their own setup and pick-up, unless other arrangements are made ahead of time. Clean-up details are provided when a space if booked.
What is not allowed?
Smoking, open flames, and the use of glitter or confetti are not allowed. Alcohol may be permitted with prior approval and appropriate permits.
How does the security deposit work?
A refundable security deposit is due at the time of booking. It will be returned after your event, provided there’s no damage and the space is left clean.
When are payments due?
A deposit is due to hold your reservation. Full payment is typically due 1–2 weeks before your event.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance may receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days may forfeit the deposit. Please contact the office for details.
